The counseling psychology PhD program at Auburn University is an on-campus degree program accreditated by the American Psychological Association. Our program is built on the scientist-practitioner model, with a social justice lens. Our curriculum meets the pre-degree requirements for license eligibility as a psychologist in most U.S. states and territories.

All our students receive training and education in psychotherapy, assessment, research, and advocacy. Students can also gain experience in teaching. Graduates are prepared for careers in clinical practice, academia, and industry.
