Impact Beyond Auburn's Campus
Outreach is fundamental to Auburn University's land-grant mission, and in the College of Education we work to improve the futures of citizens in Alabama, the Southeast region, the nation, and the global community. By engaging with our communities in impactful activities, we are committed to building a better future for all.
Our Outreach Stories
Rising 10th- to 12th-graders gathered on campus this week to explore what it takes to be global leaders at this year's World Affairs Youth Seminar, or WAYS Camp, led by Auburn College of Education Associate Professor Jesús Tirado and other faculty and students.
Earlier this year, Grier Feldman was named Miss Alabama's Teen 2026, and it should come as no surprise that her passion for service and hard work led her to Auburn's College of Education, where she will be a freshman this fall.
Like many students his age, Ke'Zerrious Powell often let anxiety keep him from speaking up in class. Through a new literacy partnership between Auburn University's College of Education and Beauregard High School, though, the ninth-grader is stepping forward — gaining confidence, building connections, all while helping future educators in turn.
For over 28 years, Auburn College of Education alumna Silvia Scaife has devoted her career to the field of education. Her efforts were recently recognized with the creation of the Dr. Silvia Scaife Career Pathways Scholarship.
