Short Bio
Kameron Suire, PhD, ACSM-EP, is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Kinesiology at Auburn University. His teaching and research focus on physical activity and health behavior, with particular interests in motivational interviewing, exergaming, weight management, and inclusive approaches to physical activity. His research has examined behavioral interventions across diverse populations, including college students, adults with obesity and metabolic disease risk, and individuals with Down syndrome. He is also interested in innovative approaches to kinesiology education and has incorporated experiential learning, technology, and health behavior change strategies into his teaching. Dr. Suire earned his PhD in Kinesiology from Auburn University and is an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist. :::

Innovation
Dr. Suire’s research focuses on developing and evaluating innovative approaches to physical activity, health behavior change, and weight management. His primary research interests include motivational interviewing, exergaming and technology-based physical activity, and inclusive physical activity interventions. His work has examined behavioral and exercise interventions among college students, adults with obesity and metabolic disease risk, and individuals with Down syndrome. He also conducts research on health promotion initiatives and innovative teaching approaches within kinesiology.

Engagement
Dr. Suire has extensive experience translating kinesiology and health behavior research into educational and community settings. He has served as a Motivational Interviewing Training Facilitator for Auburn University’s Harrison College of Pharmacy, providing training to pharmacy students in disease management and health promotion. He has also served as a motivational interviewing consultant and trainer for healthcare interventionists and National Diabetes Prevention Program lifestyle coaches. Additionally, as faculty advisor for Exercise is Medicine On Campus, he has supported student-led physical activity and wellness programming designed to promote healthy lifestyles across the college community.
