Overview:
Jason's Research, Teching, and Extension (outreach) work is centered on the human and behavioral elements of agriculture, food, and natural resource sector to help equipping producers, communities, and educators for safe and viable progress.
- Agricultural Extension and Evaluation: Jason works with rural communities and personnel on emergency response. He has led sessions on effective learning environments in formal and non-formal settings for Alabama Cooperative Extension System staff, helps evaluate Extension and Experiment Station programming, and work to bridge communication gaps between Extension, community members, and other agencies for community success.
- Disaster Management and Occupational Safety: Jason collaborates on federally funded instructional media covering livestock evacuation, storm recovery for cattle and poultry operations, and backup power system readiness. He advances hazard recognition among agricultural workforces and builds safety capacity across farming networks. He works to help agricultural and rural communities be resilient through inevitable disaster.
- Technical Capability Development: Jason translates agricultural technology into practical training for industry professionals and educators, and personally instructs on surveying, construction, welding, and electrical circuits.
