Short Bio

Crystal Smith is an outreach coordinator for the College of Education, Special Education, and Rehabilitation Counseling. She holds a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Kentucky, with over twenty years of experience counseling and providing transition services to youth and young adults with disabilities. Crystal is passionate about building brighter futures for youth and young adults with disabilities through improving transition practices, programs, and policies in Alabama and beyond. She enjoys sharing her experiences and providing support and guidance to students in the Rehabilitation and Disability Studies program.
