Short Bio

Sara B. Demoiny is an Assistant Professor of Elementary Education in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at Auburn University. Her research interests focus on the manner in which race and whiteness are taught in social studies teacher education and the ways to teach local difficult histories. Her recent manuscripts can be found in Theory & Research in Social Education, Journal of Social Studies Research, and Multicultural Perspectives.
