Short Bio
Mike P. Cook is an Associate Professor of English Language Arts Education. Dr. Cook’s research and teaching draw on justice, equity, and antiracism in English Language Arts teacher education and utilize a critical lens to explore teachers as agents of change. Specifically his work explores the ways ELA teacher educators prepare antiracist 6-12 grade ELA teachers and how activism is taken up as part of ELA teaching and learning at all levels. Dr. Cook’s work is published in the Journal of Teacher Education, English Education, Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, and other scholarly outlets.
