Short Bio
Dr Weimar obtained her PhD from Auburn University and has been the Director of the Sports Biomechanics for 22 years. Her most far reaching research compared the gait parameters and muscular activity between flip flops, barefoot and sneakers. Her research has also included gait kinematics of dogs, of horses and humans. Her primary area of research is on the lower extremity mechanics. CUrrently, her focus is on the influence of different surfaces and different shoe structures on performance. She has consulted with the Texas Rangers, the Blue Jays. the Astros and the Orioles.
