Short Bio

Nathan is a Master Teacher with the AUTeach program at Auburn University, where he works to develop Alabama’s STEM workforce by recruiting and training future science educators. A 2005 Auburn graduate from Clanton, Alabama, he spent 16 years in Brooklyn, New York, teaching middle school science in NYC public schools. Although originally trained as a Marine Biologist, Nathan has a passion for space-science education and has led teacher professional development sessions at Space Center Houston and the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. Additionally, he serves in the United States Air Force Reserves. His assignments have included Joint Base Andrews (MD), Maxwell Air Force Base (AL), and Patrick Space Force Base/Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (FL), where he continues to support service members and their families.
