Short Bio

Dr. Jared A. Russell is a professor of kinesiology and Associate Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs specializing in physical education teacher education (PETE). He joined Auburn University's faculty in 2002 after earning his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Health and Physical Education from Morehouse College and his graduate degrees from the University of Georgia in Physical Education and Sport Studies. Dr. Russell is responsible for faculty and student success and administrative support processes. He serves on numerous university, college, and community committees that facilitate institutional land-grant initiatives and goals.
