    Short Bio

    Dr. Laura Crowe is a National Board Certified Teacher and has been in education since 2004. She began her teaching career and Conyers, GA and returned to East Alabama in 2008. She spent 16 years in the classroom before becoming Director of the East Alabama Regional Inservice Center. She has a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University, Masters from Columbus State University, an Education Specialist from the University of Georgia, and a Doctorate from Auburn University. She strives to deliver research and evidence-based practices through professional learning experiences to educators throughout Region 9 to build teacher and administrator capacity.

    Engagement

    The East Alabama Regional Inservice Center serves 15 school districts through East Alabama. The Center provides professional development, resources, and services for teachers and administrators. Programs promote: Research-based strategies Data-driven instruction Continuous improvement Ongoing training and support Collaboration Educator networks Sustainability of academic achievement Dr. Crowe currently serves on the Evaluation Committee among the Inservice Centers throughout the state. She has worked on the committee to help design evaluation of programming, annual reports, and a current PowerSchool Professional Learning Survey to assess quality of programming of professional development/learning experiences.
