Short Bio

Cassie Montgomery joined the College of Education's Communications and Marketing Office as Assistant Director in summer 2026. She previously served as Communications and Marketing Specialist for GEAR UP Achieve. In this role, Cassie is responsible for all communications and public relations activities that promote the mission of GEAR UP Achieve: to increase the college and career readiness of students in communities across Alabama. Cassie brings more than 15 years of communications, public relations and marketing experience to her role with GEAR UP Achieve. She holds a degree in journalism from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
