Our Role

College of Education advisors assist students with a variety of needs including schedules and degree plans.

 

Advising

  • Students are required to meet with their academic advisor each fall and spring semester before registration

  • Students can schedule their advising appointment in Advise Assist or by calling (334) 844-4448

  • To ensure all information can be covered, students more than 15 minutes late to their appointment will need to reschedule

  • Major Change Form

  • Faculty advisors schedule appointments as needed. Topics Include:

    • Plan of study

    • Program specific requirements

    • Career paths

  • Find your College of Education Academic Program

  • A coordinator in the Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs advises on state requirements related to advanced professional educator certification in collaboration with the Assistant Dean for Assessment and Certification. Topics include:

    • Transition points for graduate certification programs

      • Admission

      • Progression

      • Completion

    • Certification applications and renewals
