Include email addresses for 3 references. Each will receive an email to complete an electronic reference form and letter.

Pay the graduate application fee (see Graduate School Admissions Requirements)

Graduate Record Exam (GRE)

These programs are currently waiving the GRE for admission:

Agriscience Education, Business/Marketing, Career & Technical Education, Early Childhood, Elementary, English Language Arts, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Foreign Language Education, Mathematics Education, Music Education, and Social Science/History Education.

The following programs require the GRE for admission:

Reading Education requires the GRE except in individual cases where an applicant’s transcript demonstrates past graduate study success.

Science Education requires the GRE.

If you need to take the GRE, use the GRE Website to register for the test and send your scores to Auburn University. Use Code: #1005.
Transcripts

Degree-seeking students must have official transcripts sent directly from ALL previously attended institutions.

Non-degree seeking and graduate certificate applicants must send official transcripts from the most recent institution attended.

Domestic (USA) transcripts:

International (Non-USA) transcripts:

All official international transcripts should be sent in the original language accompanied by a certified English translation of each document. Contact the graduate school at (334) 844-4700 with questions.

If seeking certification, all official international transcripts ALSO require a course-by-course evaluation from World Education Services (wes.org).

Clear Background Check

All degree and certificate programs require a clear background check before your first semester begins.

Alabama teachers who have completed this can find their results through the Tcert portal.

All others will use Fieldprint ® for background checks.
Additional Admissions Requirements

Statement of Intent (300-500 words describing your professional interests and goals)

Unofficial transcripts from ALL previously attended institutions (including Auburn University) and be sure they are listed in your application materials.

Alternative Masters Degree (ALT M.ED.) Applicants

2.50 GPA is required for admission from an accredited institution. Individuals with a GPA between 2.0 and 2.49 may apply for consideration by meeting the Alternative Praxis II score in the area of specialization.

Education Specialist Degree (ED.S.) Applicants

Specific Programs have additional requirements. Once you’ve applied, these will be requested. These may include academic writing samples, examples demonstrating excellent teaching, a letter of introduction, etc.
