About

The Student Ambassador Program is a leadership opportunity for students who are dedicated to serving the Auburn University College of Education. Founded in 2003, the Student Ambassadors serve as hosts and volunteers at various college events, support the Office of the Dean, and help with multiple activities throughout the year, where they have the opportunity to promote events in the college and network with donors, alumni, faculty, and staff.

Ambassadors benefit from their work by developing professional relationships and refining their leadership and interpersonal skills.

The Application Process

Student Ambassadors are chosen through a selection process that includes an application and an interview. Ambassador selection is based on grades, personality, character, communication skills, and enthusiasm. Applications are accepted in February of each year from College of Education students who have:

  • A current GPA of at least 3.0 on cumulative coursework

  • Completed at least one semester at Auburn University

  • Demonstrate a strong level of commitment to programs and initiatives within the college

  • Are available for service assignments as needed during daytime, evening, and weekend hours.

Interviews are granted to qualified applicants and are selected by a committee of current Ambassadors.

For those students who are considering applying for the School of Kinesiology Student Leader program, please know that you can do both, and are encouraged to do so. While you will draw different experiences from the two organizations, in both you will have the opportunity to represent the college at the highest level and network with some of our most impressive alumni.

If you are selected, we look forward to adding you to our robust team of talented students! If you have any questions, please contact: David Shamp, Student Ambassador Advisor or Maddy Messick, Student Ambassador President.
