Our program prepares students to be teachers who serve students with disabilities in grades K-12.  The program includes coursework that covers most disabilities with the exception of sensory impairments and certain severe disabilities.  Graduates are prepared to implement evidence-based practices in inclusive general education settings as well as develop programs that meet students’ unique educational needs in different school-based and community-based settings.

This program is offered on-campus only.

Special Opportunities

  • Working with Diverse Learners: You will have many opportunities to work with diverse learners in schools and communities.

  • Practica: You will have the opportunity to work in three different educational settings before your clinical residency.

  • Clinical Residency: As a culminating experience, you will complete a clinical residency in a school setting that spans a full semester.
