Short Bio

Dr. Wang is a professor in Educational Research, Measurement, and Assessment within the Department of Educational Foundations, Leadership, and Technology. She teaches research methods and data analysis courses. Wang’s research interests and current ongoing projects include: 1) psychological factors that influence students’ motivation and learning, 2) understanding students’ motivation and learning outcomes in e-Learning environments and K-12 STEM areas; 3) factors that influence international students’ motivation and learning; and 4) topics relate to nursing and health education. She also contributes to several funded research projects, designed assessment materials for evaluation purposes, conducted data analysis, and prepared reports.

Professional & Educational Experience

Dr. Wang received her B.S. and M.S. in Psychology from National Cheng-Chi University in Taipei, Taiwan. She worked as a school psychologist in Taipei for a year and as a high school counselor from 1999 to 2003. She received her graduate education at Oklahoma State University, where she earned an M.S. in Educational Psychology, and at Auburn University, where she earned a M.P.S. in Statistics and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. After receiving her Ph.D., she worked at Auburn University as an instructor for a year and then at Mississippi State University as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology. She returned to work at Auburn University since 2013, and currently serves as a Professor for the Educational Research, Measurement, and Assessment graduate program.
