Audition Requirements

Concertino Strings

• A scale of the student’s choice

• A piece of the student’s choice

• Sight-reading may be required.

Symphony Strings

• 2 x two-octave scales of the student’s choice. At least one scale must demonstrate shifting into higher positions; or

• A 3-octave scale of the student’s choice

• A piece of the student’s choice that demonstrates both technical skill and musicality

• Sight-reading may be required

Symphony Winds & Brass 

• 2 scales of the student’s choice

• A piece of the student’s choice that demonstrates both technical skill and musicality.

• Sight-reading may be required
