With a counseling minor, you will develop a fundamental understanding of the core professional values, roles, and activities of counselors and related fields.  You will gain knowledge and develop skills for entry-level positions in in interpersonal/relational workforce.

The minor can prepare you for graduate education in helping professions such as counseling, clinical psychology, social work, education, and more.

This program is offered on campus and online. 

Program Requirements

Our counseling minor requires 15 semester hours. The 5 courses (15 semester hours) used for the counseling minor will not count toward core or major coursework for your program.

 

Declaring or Completing the Minor

If you would like to declare a minor in Counseling at Auburn University, complete the Declaration Form.

At the start of the semester in which you will complete the minor, contact the department.
