Accreditation

The College of Education at Auburn University has a long and distinguished reputation of nationally accredited and recognized programs. The college currently holds three national accreditations including:

• The Council for the Accreditation of Education Preparation (CAEP)

• Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP)

• American Psychological Association (APA)

The college looks to add its fourth accreditation with The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) through the development and successful implementation of the Doctoral of Physical Therapy program — tentatively set to begin in 2025.

The college holds multiple national recognitions including:

• English Language Arts Education recognized by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE)

• Music Education programs recognized by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM)

• Kinesiology program recognized by the National Academy of Kinesiology (NAK)
