TigerFit, a program housed in the College of Education’s Department of Kinesiology, is offering health and fitness assessments to Auburn University faculty, staff and family members, students and Auburn residents.
The health and fitness screenings include evaluations of cardiovascular disease risk, cholesterol and blood glucose levels, pulmonary function, body composition and bone density, musculoskeletal structure, and a graded exercise test that will provide information on ECG and blood pressure, muscular strength and endurance and flexibility. Clients receive a report explaining their results and an individualized exercise prescription.
TigerFit will begin taking appointments for the 90-minute assessments on Tues., Feb. 28, and Fri., March 2 and will run until the last week of April. The assessments will take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum with appointments available at 7:30 a.m., 8 a.m. or 8:30 a.m.
The cost is $45 for faculty, staff and family members, $25 for students and $65 for members of the Auburn community.
To make your appointment, please call the TigerFit Program at 334-844-1482 or e-mail TigerFit at tigrfit@auburn.edu.
