McDaniel elected to board of national rehab education association

Dr. Randall McDaniel, a Wayne T. Smith distinguished professor in Auburn University's College of Education, has been elected the Region IV representative for the National Council of Rehabilitation Education  link to external web site.
 
The NCRE is a professional organization devoted to providing quality services for persons with disabilities through research and education.
 
McDaniel, a faculty member in the college's Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation, Counseling/School Psychology, will serve on the board of the organization, which represents rehabilitation educators, trainers, researchers, doctoral students and others in the field. It represents more than 90 higher education institutions and 600 individual members.
 
McDaniel received his bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and his master's degree in rehabilitation counseling at the University of Florida. He earned his doctorate in rehabilitation services at Auburn, where he has also been a faculty member for more than 30 years. McDaniel directs the graduate Rehabilitation distance education program and serves as co-director of the Rehabilitation doctoral program.
