White appointed executive editor of business education journal

Dr. Bonnie J. White, a Humana-Germany-Sherman distinguished professor in the College of Education, has been appointed an executive editor of the Journal of Education for Business, a national research-based and peer-reviewed journal.
Heldref Publications, the educational publishing division of the Helen Dwight Reid Educational Foundation, publishes the journal. Articles published relate to research and issues in education for business at the postsecondary and university level, program development and evaluation, and instructional processes in content areasincluding accounting, economics, marketing and office systems. White served as consulting editor for the journal from 2002 to 2007. It uses 23 consulting editors and four executive editors. White was invited to write the introductory article for the March-April 2007 thematic issue on program assessment.
She is also the co-author of the recently published 5th edition of The Office: Procedures and Technology, 2007. This textbook is an approved textbook for all state textbook adoption lists.
White, who is among the faculty in the college's Department of Curriculum and Teaching, joined the Auburn faculty in 1974 as a research associate in the college's then Department of Vocational and Adult Education. Since then, her service has included being a graduate program officer, program coordinator, department head and interim dean. She was named a Humana-Germany-Sherman distinguished professor in 2002.
