Retired faculty, staff establish endowed scholarship

The College of Education's Retired Faculty and Staff organization has created an endowment that will eventually lead to scholarships benefiting students in the college.

Through the continuing efforts and support of college administration, the Retired Faculty and Staff organization has flourished to more than 75 members, since it was established in 2002. The organization offers continuing opportunities for retired faculty, staff and administrators for fellowship and serve the College of Education.

"This is a wonderful example of how our people continue to give beyond the contributions of their time, talents and resources," Education Dean Frances Kochan said. "It is a strong testimony to the long-term investment being made by those who have already given so much to our college through their past service as faculty and staff."

The Retired Faculty and Staff organization is currently led by a steering committee that includes Dr. Landa Trentham, Dr. Janet Taylor and Charlotte Curry.

Contributions to the Retired Faculty and Staff Scholarship may be made to the Auburn University Foundation, and if desired, in honor of any of the college's current and retired faculty and staff. For additional information, please contact the College of Education Office of Development at 334.844.5793 or send your contribution to:
