Participation:
This Korean experience is open to graduate students in the College of Education as well as teachers, counselors and administrators in th east Alabama area.
Location:  
Korea University (Seoul, South Korea) and surrounding areas (optional side trip to China)
Travel Dates:  
June 15 to July 3, 2009
Objectives:
 to build the educational infrastructure for developing academic exchange programs with South Korea, a country whose industrial and business connections with the east Alabama area are burgeoning
 to expand personal international experiences of east Alabama educators that will in turn enhance quality of service provided by Korean families
 to prepare graduate students whose educational programs include international experiences and global studies
 to facilitate the development of international research projects and instructional exchange initiatives
Academic Credit:
COUN 7960: Directed Field Experience and COUN 7450: Group Dynamics (six graduate hours)
Passport/VISA Requirements:
Visa required for optional China side trip only
