Participation:
The Consortium for Overseas Student Teaching link to external web site (COST) program is open to all College of Education students in teacher certification programs ready to complete their student teaching.
Location:
Australia, Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa and Switzerland
Travel Dates:
Fall 2009
Spring 2010
Objectives:
This program helps students gain greater sensitivity to other cultures, acquire greater perspectives on the United States' role in the world, develop a greater appreciation for their heritage, and increase their self-confidence from having successfully dealt with new and challenging situations.

Dependent upon the host country and the responsibility of the student

Costs and Deadlines:
$1,795 program fee (including Auburn Study Abroad fee); air travel, room and board costs (which depend upon the host country) are the responsibility of the student.

Apr. 15, 2009: application deadline for spring 2009 semester
