Other Endowments
Other Established Endowments
There are many other endowment opportunities available through the College of Education. For more information about establishing a named endowment you can contact the Development Office. Initial funding can be spread over a five-year period to create a permanent source of funding.
Named Endowed Graduate Fellowships (Minimum $200,000)
Named fellowships allow the College of Education to attract the most outstanding graduate students. A fellowship is the graduate equivalent of an undergraduate scholarship and is given for merit and work is not required.
Named Endowed Graduate Assistantships (Minimum $150,000)
Named assistantships enable the college to reward students for merit and allow the department to pay for graduate student assistance in teaching, research, or extension.
Named Endowed Awards and Special Endowments (Minimum $25,000)
From time to time there is a need for the creation of special or unique endowments. Some of these programs may include the endowing of lectureships, lecture series, special programs, etc. Endowments for these unique programs will, by necessity, be of varying amounts and determined on a case-by-case basis and approved by Dean and the Vice-President for Development. Endowments that are generally broader in nature and provide the Dean with a substantial amount of latitude in the expenditure of income will be designated as "Funds for Excellence." These endowments are crucial in allowing the Dean to address the college's ever-changing needs.
