Endowed Professorships

Through the generosity of several alumni and friends, the College of Education is able to offer endowed professorships to those faculty who have achieved national and international recognition for their scholarly work. These allow the college to recruit, reward and retain the best and brightest professional educators to teach, provide leadership and participate in research and outreach projects.

For three years following their appointment, recipients of endowed professorships receive an annual monetary supplement and further funding to be used at their discretion for professional travel, research or outreach projects. Each honored professor's use of the professorship title extends past this three-year period as continued recognition of their accomplishments.

Endowed professorships are selected through a nomination and review process conducted as currently recognized professors rotate out of their three-year appointment cycle and as funds from these endowments remain available.
