Responsibilities

Committee Members

Arrow
Study appropriate draft proposals or other materials prior to the meeting.
Arrow
Attend committee meetings; if unable to attend, send written response to agenda items and/or arrange for a departmental substitute to attend.
Arrow
Serve as a departmental liaison; keep the department head and faculty updated on the work of the committee.

Committee Chairs

Consult with the Dean's Office to set agenda priorities.
Arrow
Study appropriate draft proposals or other materials prior to the meeting.

Convene committee meetings and facilitate discussion of agreed upon agenda items.
Arrow
Report to the Dean's Office the responses of the committee.

Post committees minutes; discuss responses with appropriate Dean's Office representative(s)

Participate in the Council of Committee Chairs—a council that will help achieve coherence in the ongoing work of college committees.

 Dean's Office

Arrow
Develop draft proposals based on standards and data to support and direct the continuous improvement of the college.
Arrow
Meet with committee chairs for input and to set agenda priorities; meet with committees when needed to clarify proposals.
Arrow
Revise proposals in response to committee input.
Arrow
Provide appropriate support to enact proposals for continuous improvement.
