Criteria for Undergraduate Teacher Education Programs To be eligible for graduation, students must meet the following criteria:
Registration for UNIV 4AA0 ED1 (graduation check)
Completion of all courses on the program checklist
Note: Approvals of Course Substitution Requests Must be on file in Professional Education Services, 3464 Haley.
Minimum 2.50 grade-point average on all college coursework attempted as well as all coursework attempted at Auburn, in professional studies, and in the teaching field
No grade below a C in professional studies courses
Satisfactory performance in internship including satisfactory completion of required internship assessments
Criteria for Undergraduate Non-teaching Programs To be eligible for graduation, students must meet the following criteria:
Graduation check through the dean's office by registering for UNIV 4AA0 ED1 the term before graduation
Completion of all courses on the program checklist; substitutions for required courses pre-approved using Course Substitution Requests and filed with Professional Education Services, 3464 Haley
Minimum 2.0 GPA on all courses attempted at Auburn, a 2.0 GPA on all transfer courses which apply to degree requirements, and a 2.0 GPA on all work in the student's major.
Criteria for Alternative Master's Certification Programs To be eligible for graduation, students must meet the following criteria:
Approved Plan of Study filed with Graduate School
Any changes to Plan of Study filed with Graduate School before the beginning of the final semester; substitutions for required courses pre-approved using the college's Course Substitution Request and filed with Professional Education Services, 3464 Haley
Application for graduation (credit check) submitted to Graduate School one semester before graduation
Completion of all coursework on the State-approved program worksheet, including survey of special education course if not previously completed and/or other cited deficiencies if applicable
Minimum 3.0 GPA on all courses carrying graduate credit and all courses in the State-approved program
No grade below C on coursework carrying graduate credit
Note: Each graduate course in which a grade below C is received must be repeated at Auburn University whether or not it is listed on the student's Plan of Study. Both the original grade and the grade for the repeated course will be counted in calculating the cumulative graduate GPA (CGGPA). Course credits transferred from another institution may not be used to satisfy this requirement. Courses retaken will not count against the nine-hour limit beyond the student's Plan of Study in obtaining the minimum CGGPA.

Criteria for Specialist in Education Programs To be eligible for graduation, students must meet the following criteria:
Approved Plan of Study filed with Graduate School
Any changes to Plan of Study filed with Graduate School before the beginning of the final semester; substitutions for required courses in state certification programs pre-approved using the college's Course Substitution Request and filed with Professional Education Services, 3464 Haley
Application for graduation (credit check) submitted to Graduate School one semester before graduation
Satisfactory completion of an approved field project
Completion of all courses on the Plan of Study with a minimum 3.0 GPA on all courses carrying graduate credit and, if applicable, minimum 3.25 GPA on all courses in state certification programs
No grade below C on course work carrying graduate credit
Successful completion of final written comprehensive examination
