Praxis II Information
The Alabama Prospective Teacher Testing Program (APTTP) features two components: Basic Skills Assessments and Praxis II Subject Assessments.
The Praxis II Subject Assessments are examinations over teaching area content. A passing score on the appropriate Praxis II subject assessment must be submitted prior to beginning internship in all undergraduate and alternative master's teacher certification programs. In addition, students in some
College
of
Education
graduate programs must submit a passing score on the appropriate Praxis II subject assessment prior to graduation. These programs are educational leadership, English as a second language, library-media, reading specialist, school counseling, and school psychology.
Individuals registering for Praxis II must identify as score report recipients both the Alabama State Department of Education (7020) AND
Auburn
University
(1005). Some Praxis II Subject Assessments are only offered on selected test dates. To check test dates/sites and register online, go to www.ets.org/praxis
