The Alabama Prospective Teacher Testing Program (APTTP) features two components: Basic Skills Assessments and Praxis II Subject Assessments.
The Basic Skills Assessments are required in all initial teacher preparation programs and consist of three parts: Applied Mathematics,
Reading
for Information, and Writing. Undergraduate students must pass all three parts as a prerequisite for admission to Teacher Education. Graduate students in alternative master's certification programs must pass all three parts prior to internship. Individuals may register online at www.act.org/alabamapttp.
