Minority Achievement, Retention and Success (MARS) Program
 
MARS logoThe Minority Achievement, Retention & Success (MARS) Program is designed to support underrepresented minority students in Auburn University's College of Education. It was also created to address the major cause of the minority-retention problem, to make sure students know they are valued and to challenge students to excel.
 
In this program, students will be matched in a mentoring relationship with faculty mentors, master's and doctoral-level graduate students in a similar field of study. Mentors will develop leadership, communication and mentoring skills while offering guidance and support to students who are facing particularly challenging periods of undergraduate education, such as the

The MARS Program provides valuable mentorship.
initial transition, first-year courses and the acquisition of study skills and time management techniques.
 
It is our hope that both mentors and mentees will see this as an opportunity for professional growth.
