While most of the research in this area of study is conducted in school settings, the Department does have extensive technology for the collection and analysis of data from videotape and audiotape sources. Included is a video capture and editing system which allows for videotape editing, variable speed viewing and easy tape copying. Students are able to convert videotape to digital format for use in presentations, webpages and personal portfolios.
The most recent research in this lab has been conducted on the Sport Education curriculum model. Faculty have examined various aspects of the model from implementation issues, to validation studies, to in-depth qualitative studies.
