Specializations in health promotion are offered at the Masters level (both thesis and non-thesis). The goal is to provide students with relevant knowledge, skills, and experience to become competent allied health professionals in commercial, corporate fitness, and cardiac rehabilitation settings. The Masters program provides students with theoretical and technical information and intervention strategies for leadership roles in various health promotion settings. The major areas of study include energy expenditure (Dr. Blessing), lipid metabolism (Dr. Grandjean), and exercise psychology and behavioral fitness (Dr. Wadsworth).
