Outreach
The mission of our department is to prepare exemplary educational practitioners and develop cooperative partnerships with University departments, schools, community agencies and business and industry to provide outstanding educators, trainers and leaders. Some of the outreach partnerships and service activities include the following:
- Single-Sex Education in Alabama Project with Vestavia Hills High School and Fayette Middle School - James Kaminsky, Sean Forbes, & Betsy Ross
- Service Learning Partnerships with Loachapoka Elementary, Opelika Northside Elementary, Boys and Girls Club of Opelika, and Auburn City Schools: Cary Woods Elementary, Dean Road Elementary, Drake Middle School, Morris Avenue Elementary, & West Forest Elementary with FOUN 3100, 3110, 3120 students - Sean Forbes, Jill Salisbury-Glennon, & Paris Strom
- Lee County Schools Summer College Experience Programs with FOUN 3100, 3110, 3120 students - Sean Forbes, Jill Salisbury-Glennon, Paris Strom
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme Collaborative Evaluation Project with Troy University, Columbus State University & Auburn University - James Witte & Maria Martinez Witte
