We are planning a special certificate in College and University Teaching to prepare new doctoral faculty for teaching in higher education.  Cutting edge research includes focusing on the needs of returning veterans transitioning from combat to campus as well as serving as the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators' liaison for an American Council on Education initiative. 

The Higher Education program is concurrently delivering a graduate minor course of study in Sports Management to prepare students to work in a more specialized area of higher education with plans for expansion to a full program.  This program works closely with intercollegiate athletics at Auburn University .

We are working with the Alabama Extension Service to provide distance-learning access to a Master's Degree in Adult Education with an emphasis in Extension Service. Further, we are aligned with the College of Engineering in the development of virtual learning environments for the training of combat troops throughout the Department of Defense.

We are currently developing a "Master's Plus" degree program wherein a student may complete graduate studies in Adult Education and upon completion receive Certification in Workforce Development as and additional program outcome.
