Application Steps
 
SEND TO AU GRADUATE SCHOOL:
 
Complete and submit a Graduate School application available at www.grad.auburn.edu or by contacting the Graduate School, Hargis Hall, Auburn University, AL  36849 - Telephone: 334.844.4700.  The application will include the following:
 
a.  Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Verbal, Math, and Analytical Writing Scores (AU Code is #1005), taken within the last 5 years -- nearby GRE testing site information.  GRE scores are not required for certification-only applications.  To be competitive, GRE scores are normally: 400 Verbal, 400 Quantitative, and a "Competent" rating on the writing section.
 
b.  Official transcript(s) of previous college and/or university work.
 
c.  Application fee
 
SEND TO EFLT DEPARTMENT:
 
1.  Submit three recommendation­s—either letters or EFLT Graduate Study recommendation forms are acceptable. The form is available through this link: Recommendation for Graduate Study.  

2.  Submit a Statement of Intent (500 word maximum) indicating your professional interests and goals. It can include: current goals for your professional career, reason for selecting your major field of study, type of position(s) you expect to seek when you complete the program of study covered by this application, your philosophy of education, professional issues of most concern or interest to you at this time, and/or areas of research interests. The Statement of Intent can also be uploaded to the AU Graduate School online application.

Frequently Asked Question...If I am admitted, when can I begin taking classes? Applications that are approved by the Graduate School may be begin study any semester after admission is granted. Once admitted you will receive a letter from the Dean of the Graduate School containing your PIN and temporary password. Before you will be permitted to register, you will also need to submit a completed Medical Form to the Auburn University Medical Clinic.
