The Business/Marketing Education program will prepare you to teach business and technology related subjects in middle, junior high, and secondary schools. In addition, you may be able to teach in business education areas at the junior/community college level. Graduates have also been employed in the corporate world as trainers and in adult continuing education programs. Business/Marketing Education is a very exciting field that is constantly changing and therefore provides the opportunity for continuous professional career growth.
What will I learn?
The role of a business/marketing educator is to deliver age-appropriate instruction in the theories and processes of business. Course work is designed to prepare individuals to incorporate prevailing educational theories into practice and to provide continuous program and technical updating as well as advanced professional development. Advanced course work will focus on the development and application of systematic inquiry skills at the graduate level of study, combined with existing experience and continued study of business. It is designed to develop competencies of educational practitioners and to obtain and synthesize knowledge for the solution of educational problems and practices.
How will I use my degree?
This program will prepare you for a career in business education fields, such as: middle, junior high, and secondary business education teacher; junior/community college teacher, business and industry trainers, adult continuing education instructor, independent training consultants, individuals with special interests or expertise offering sessions through community or educational agencies.
