| Ph.D. Mathematics Education Statement of Purpose
The Doctor of Philosophy is designed for professional educators who want to become experts in their field. With a Doctor of Philosophy degree, mathematics educators are able to teach at the college level, serve as district supervisors, and take on other leadership roles in the field. Students must establish and complete a comprehensive plan of study, including courses in mathematics, mathematics education, research methodology, and supporting areas.
