| Ph.D. English Language Arts Education Statement of Purpose
The Doctor of Philosophy in English Language Arts Education is designed to provide individuals an opportunity to pursue their long-range goals and objectives by preparing for careers in teaching, administration, extension service, and training and development positions in public and private education and governmental agencies. This program builds upon the competencies and foundations of previous experiences and course work. The purpose of the Doctor of Philosophy in English Language Arts Education is to further develop competencies, skills, and abilities of individuals to assume leadership roles, or manage programs, and/or teach in a variety of settings.
