| M.Ed./M.S. Traditional Master's Foreign Language Education Statement of Purpose
The purpose of the Foreign Language Education master's degree program is to strengthen professional educators' abilities and competencies to teach French or Spanish in grades 6-12. The program is designed for students to attain their master's level (A-level) teacher certification. Course work for this degree builds on the undergraduate program and extends teacher's knowledge of research and best practices across the curriculum from beginning levels through AP and IB courses as well as their proficiency in their target language. The master's degree is intended to help teachers develop higher levels of competence than is possible in initial certification programs. General Program Information
