| M.Ed./M.S. Traditional Master's English Language Arts Education Statement of Purpose
Our Traditional Master's program extends the undergraduate preparation of certified English Language Arts teachers in grades 6-12. Our goal is to strength teachers' abilities and competencies to teach ELA in the public schools. Teachers who complete the program are certified at the Master's (Class A) level. Graduate coursework is required in English (12 semester hours) and Communications (3 semester hours). Of the graduate hours required in Education, nine (three courses) are focused specifically on the teaching of English Language Arts. [program highlights] General Program Information
