The Alternative Master's Program is an innovative approach to teacher education designed for individuals with baccalaureate degrees in mathematics (or equivalent fields) who have not completed requirements for certification to teach. The main purpose of the program is to prepare outstanding individuals to become successful classroom teachers. Completion of the program leads to a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree and equivalent masters-level Alabama certification.
