| Dr. Deborah Morowski Assistant Professor of Elementary Education
Department of Curriculum and Teaching Auburn University, AL 36849 (334) 844-6796 FAX (334) 844-6789 Debbie Morowski, who joined the Department of Curriculum and Teaching in August 2008 as an assistant professor of elementary education, earned her master's and doctoral degrees from The University of Texas in curriculum studies. Her research interests include social studies education, educational history, teacher education and African-American secondary education in the American South from 1900 to 1960. She currently serves as the faculty co-advisor for the National Graduate Student Committee for Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education. Before obtaining her teacher certification, Morowski earned a bachelor's degree in history from The University of Texas. Her career background includes experience as an elementary and middle school teacher and administrator. She taught at Madeleine Choir School in Salt Lake City, Utah, for two years and at St. Gabriel's Catholic School in Austin, Texas, for three.
