| Dr. Pamela C. Boyd Associate Professor of Elementary Education
Pamela Boyd is an associate professor in the College of Education and the department of Curriculum and Teaching. She is a professor of Elementary Language Arts Education. Dr. Boyd has been at Auburn University since 1991. Prior to receiving her doctorate from Mississippi State University she taught grades one through three, and was a teacher and coordinator in Cobb County, Georgia. Dr. Boyd's teaching interests center on assisting students in developing a philosophy of teaching and learning that will guide their classroom decisions, modeling effective teaching strategies, communicating national standards that promote language as a tool across the curriculum, helping students become reflective practitioners, and connecting preservice teachers with outstanding inservice teachers. Dr. Boyd conducts active research in the area of school/university partnerships. This research explores school/university partnerships as a change agent in education reform.Academic Degrees
