COUN Programs Mission Statement
The Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation, Counseling/School Psychology offers high-quality graduate education programs for counselors, counselor educators, and counseling and school psychologists. Graduates will develop the tools to address psychological, social, and environmental barriers to educational achievement and personal development. In this process, students will engage in rigorous and challenging educational experiences in order to fashion their own unique contributions to society. The Department values teaching, research and outreach that contributes to the missions of the College of Education and Auburn University. Furthermore, the Department seeks to foster a culture in which individual creativity and scholarship is reinforced and nurtured. |
