2007 - 2008
Dr. Eddie Clark (Counselor Ed. '05) was appointed to the Board of Examiners in Counseling by Governor Riley in fall 2008.
Dr. Scott Peebles (COP, 2006) has accepted a position as Suicide Prevention Coordinator at the Augusta, Georgia Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He will begin his duties at the Augusta V.A. in late November.
Melvin Smith was named President of the Alabama Association of Colleges and Employers (AACE). He was also presented the AACE Success Award as Outstanding Placement Professional of 2007.

2006 - 2007
Dr. Vaughn Millner (CED, 1998) was appointed Associate Professor and Chair of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of South Alabama.
Dr. Susan Boes (CED, 1995) was promoted to the rank of Professor at the University of West Georgia, effective Fall 2007. Dr. Boes is a counselor educator in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology.
Dr. Mary Bartlett (CED, 2006) accepted a position as Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Community Counseling track at the University of Montevallo; she will start in her new position in Fall 2007.

2005 - 2006
Dr. Ken Engebretson, an assistant professor of Counseling, Educational and Developmental Psychology at the University of Western Washington, was elected President of the Mental Health Division of the Washington Counseling Association.
Dr. Cindy Murphy was voted by the Georgia School Counseling Association as "Outstanding High School Counselor of the Year."
Dr. James Werth, an associate professor of Psychology at the University of Akron, was awarded the American Psychological Association Fritz & Linn Kuder Early Career Scientist / Practitioner Award.
Dr. Mary Bartlett received the Alabama Counseling Association "Individual Publication Award" and the "Outstanding Research Award."

Dr. Katrice Albert was appointed Vice Provost for Equity & Diversity at Louisiana State University.
Dr. Yared Alemu was appointed Staff Psychologist at the University of Georgia Health Center.
Dr. Eddie Clark was appointed Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Troy State University - Montgomery.
Dr. Necoal Driver was appointed Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Alabama State University.
Dr. Monica Hunter was appointed Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at the University of South Alabama.
Patsy Parker was appointed to the Auburn University College of Education Advisory Board.
Frances Skinner Reeves was appointed to the Auburn University College of Education Advisory Board.
Melvin Smith received the Rollins Award from the Southeastern Association for Employment in Education.
Dr. Angela Stowe was appointed Director of the Office of Students with Disabilities at the University of Alabama - Birmingham.

Katrice Albert was promoted to Director of Louisiana State University of Multicultural Affairs; Outstanding Company Project Award from the Volunteer Baton Rouge & Corporate Volunteer Council for 2002 MLK Day of Service; Adjunct Faculty member at Louisiana State University Department of Educational Leadership, Research, and Counseling.
J. Ashlock was appointed Counselor at Phoenix High School in Dalton, GA.
Carrie Burke received the "Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award" from the Auburn University College of Liberal Arts.
Martha Durham was appointed Post-doctoral Fellow at the Medical College of Georgia.
S. Loreto-West was appointed Coordinator of Substance Abuse Prevention / Staff Psychologist at The Citadel Counseling Center in Charleston, SC.
M. Martin was appointed as Internship Training Director at Warm Springs Rehabilitation Center in Warm Springs, GA.
M. Milligan was appointed to the faculty at Greenville Technical College in Greenville, SC.
B. Vicario was appointed Staff Psychologist at Oregon State University Counseling Center in Corvallis, OR.
