Partnership Council on the Education Profession
 
The College of Education recognizes the importance of collaborations with members of its professional community in the continuous improvement of programs that prepare teachers and other professional school personnel. The Partnership Council on the Education Profession was established as a formal system for ensuring that effective communication takes place between the college and its professional partners.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Partnership Council on the Education Profession is to assure that the professional community has formal opportunities to provide input and participate in conversation with representatives from the College of Education about critical issues and program improvement.

POLICIES

 
  •  
The Partnership Council meets one time each semester with additional meetings when deemed appropriate.
  •  
The College of Education's Director of Professional Education Services and the Coordinator of East Alabama Regional Inservice Center (EARIC) co-chair the Partnership Council.
  •  
The Partnership Council includes representatives from school systems within the EARIC region which serve as field placement sites for the college's teacher education students.  
 

2009-2010 MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the Partnership Council on the Education Profession includes professional development coordinators from school systems within the EARIC region.
