Dean's University Council on the Education Profession
Purpose
The purpose of the Dean's University Council on the Education Profession is to assure effective communication between and among faculty who work in collaboration with the Auburn University College of Education in preparing education professionals. The council provides opportunities for members to provide input and engage in discussion about critical issues related to the preparation of educational professionals and program implementation and improvement.

The Dean's University Council on the Education Profession meets once each semester, with additional meetings when deemed appropriate. |

The College of Education's dean serves as chair of the Dean's University Council. |
|
|
The Dean's University Council includes the university's associate provost of undergraduate studies, one superintendent from a local school system, and representatives from Auburn's College of Education, College of Agriculture, College of Business, College of Liberal Arts and College of Sciences and Mathematics. |

|
The dean of the College of Education, in consultation with other deans and department heads, invites individuals from the other Auburn colleges/schools to serve on the Dean's Council. |
|
|
The membership term for faculty representatives and school superintendent is three years. Faculty representatives may serve two consecutive terms. Initially, faculty memberships will be three, four or five years to establish a rotation cycle. |
